COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies)
COBIT is the ISACA framework for the governance and management of information and technology. COBIT 2019 comprises six principles for a governance system, seven components and 40 governance and management objectives across five domains (EDM, APO, BAI, DSS and MEA). The framework helps organisations align IT objectives with business goals, manage IT risks and controls, and comply with regulations. It provides a common language for IT auditors, compliance officers and IT management and often serves as the basic structure for IT audit plans.
